The Krafty Girls are getting a little spooky today with the latest Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps challenge – use a skull in some way on your project!  So either an image featuring skulls somewhere, skull design paper, embellishments etc.

Join in using a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps image and you could be in with a chance of winning the stamp featured on our lovely hostess Cheryl’s card!

PLUS make sure you check out the fun events over at the challenge blog this weekend in honour of World Cardmaking Day!

Here’s my spooktastic card.  I was feeling a little coloured out, and needed a change, so I pulled out the HALLOWEEN TRINKETS stamp set (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie) and some dies.

I stamped the trinket sentiment with black ink on white card and diecut it using a Spellbinders circle die.  I placed it on top of a paper rosette made from Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper using the Memory Box Blooming Rosette die (any rosette die would work, like the MFT Die-Namics ones).  I’m a little bit late to the rosette party, but I may be developing an addiction to making them…

Behind my rosette are some gorgeous diecuts – my favourite Dies by SCACD – Alice’s Clock Statement Corner and MFT Die-Namics Fancy Flourish.  I tied the bow using my Bow-Easy, and finally I added my skull to the top of the bow.

The skull features on one of the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor 12×12 kit sticker sheets, as part of a larger design.  I didn’t really want to cut the sticker up, so I actually cut it out from the packaging insert sheet and backed with cardstock to make it more durable.

That’s it!  Hope you’ll join us for this week’s challenge.  Have a fantastic weekend!

NOTE:

Those of you in Canada or nearby, have you booked your places at the upcoming Krafty Day yet?  If not (and why not?!) get on over to the KKS website and book!  Kimmie and the Krafty Girls who are able to attend have got some serious fun planned.
