Tough weekend.  My Dad went back in to hospital on Friday, so we made the trip up to see him and my Mum.  It looks like they will be needing a bit more support, so I’ve got a list of things to sort out, and will be making the trip up again soon to deal with some of it.

Luckily, I made a stack of cards on Thursday/Friday, so I do have some posts to schedule here.

So, on a lighter note, I’ve got a fun card to share today.  I had the pleasure of playing with one of the recent digital releases from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  The lovely Barbara (owner of LMM) has been one of my favourite crafters/colourists for a while, and I have often admired her creativity in the addition of facial features to more simplistic stamped images.  When Barbara released her Polka Dot Pals images, which have very simple but cute faces, I was delighted to play with them.  The images of course look adorable as they are, but Barbara is very encouraging of creative experimentation, so I took up the challenge and had a go at adding some detail to little Roxie’s face!

Not too bad for a first effort!  It certainly gave me the confidence to consider trying again in future. 🙂  You can find little Polka Dot Pals Roxie – HERE!

I printed the image on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers (available in the UK from Jackson’s Art Supplies). I embellished with a bow topped with a button from my stash, and a couple of chipboard corners from a Make it Crafty Lasercut Chipboard pack which I coloured using a Neocolor II crayon.

That’s it from me.  You can pop on over to the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog to see a card from Barbara using one of the other Polka Dot Pals images, and make sure you take a peek at some of the other Little Miss Muffet Stamps fun while you’re there!  Enjoy. 🙂
