Time for a fun hop for the latest release from SCACD!  PLUS some extra fun news which you will find at the end of my post. 😉

Today Susana Loves  Stamps releases yet another round  of these FUN little pranksters the Oddly Sweet  Curiosities #5! With their universal appeal  the Curiosities were just begging for another turn in the spotlight with a new  release. These little guys are the perfect way to provoke a smile or a laugh.  We’re addicted, and from the  popularity of the previous sets we know you will be too!

Susana Loves  Stamps is also showcasing a  fresh new  line: The MechAnimals. This edgy  but endearing range of SteamPunk animals will lend themselves to  all sorts of projects, occasions and  styles and earn a place in your crafty hearts.

Grab a cup of something yummy and enjoy the show!

Both collections are available in rubber, direct from Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design or for International customers from Quixotic Paperie in the UK!

My card today features one of the AWESOME Mechanimals stamps.  I am seriously in love with this collection.  I spend so much time colouring “people” stamps and cute images that these were like a much needed breath of fresh air.  You could say they gave me a bit of a creative jumpstart.

Meet INK SPLATS.  How cool?!  He comes with the fun sentiment shown on my card.  This is my favourite card that I’ve created so far this year and I had a blast doing it!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers (available in the UK from Jackson’s Art Supplies).  I also used one lonely Copic marker on this card!  BG57 for the underwater background.

The designer paper is actually from the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe 8×8 pad, I sprayed it with Dylusions Ink Spray in Crushed Grape to recolour it for my card.  I also used a Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber in Gold around all the edges.  I created the cool splats by drawing them with a Montana Acrylic Paint Marker in Shock Lilac (available in the UK from Jackson’s Art Supplies).

I stamped the sentiment on the same cardstock as my image, and die cut it using one of the MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flags STAX dies.  I then coloured it using one of my Touch Twin Markers, and added some extra detail using the Montana paint marker and my acrylic paint dabber.

Some serious inky painty fun! 🙂
