SCACD Digital - Sunflower - www.markergeek.com

You wouldn’t really know it from this blog, but I love flower stamps/images. I have a collection of stamps and digital images because they are perfect to use for family members who wouldn’t necessarily appreciate cute or quirky character cards. I promise that I’ll try and share a few more floral and other non-character cards here from time to time, in amongst all the character cards!

My Mum’s birthday was on Sunday, so when Susana from SCACD Stamps sent me the new Sunflower digital image from the Carmen Medlin for SCACD Digital stamps range I knew exactly what to do with it! Mum is a keen gardener and loves sunflowers, so this was perfect. I kept the background simple and bright to create a cheery card.

The Card:

The Details:

The SCACD Digital Stamps image was coloured with Copic Markers on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card. The card is 15cm square (approx. 6″) in size.

The patterned paper came from my scraps drawer, and I cut the circle frame out using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. The sentiment was cut using two Clearly Besotted word dies, which I used to die cut black cardstock and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to add shine and make them stand out from the background a little more.

Hope my sunflower card has brightened your Monday at least a little!
