SCACD Stamps - Ocean Eyes - www.markergeek.com

I’ve got a very quick card to share with you today, with a similar message to the Mama Elephant Honey Bunny card I blogged on Friday.

I created this card using an image I coloured quite a while ago, so unfortunately I don’t have any colouring information to share today. There will be a few of these posts, as I have a stack of coloured images to create cards with, some of which I have colouring notes for and some I don’t. I hope you will enjoy this post anyway, and perhaps take away a little inspiration for your own crafty endeavours!

The Card:

The SCACD Stamps “Eyes” images are among my favourites. I love the beautiful faces, which look great either coloured with shaded details, or coloured more simply. They are well suited to beginners or more advanced colourists. My favourite thing is that there is space to colour the eyes, I love it when I can do this.

The Details:

SCACD Stamps Oceanic Eyes is available both in rubber and digi form. Here are all the relevant links:

UK & International readers: SCACD Stamps Oceanic Eyes at Quixotic Paperie
US readers: SCACD Stamps Oceanic Eyes at Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design
Digital stamp fans: SCACD Digital at Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design

I stamped Oceanic Eyes using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring using Copic markers.

I created the background by inking Distress Inks through a stencil directly on to an A6 sized card blank created from white pearlescent cardstock. I used one of Carmen Medlin’s 6×6 stencil designs from The Crafter’s Workshop –  Kelp Forest (for US readers Susana has this in stock at SCACD) which I layered a few times, moving the stencil slightly each time and using a few different Distress Ink colours.  I popped the image up on foam pads for a little dimension and stamped the sentiment using a Stampendous clear alphabet set and Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black.

This card is fully Carmen Medlin, with one of her stamp images and her stencil design! You could also create a similar look for the background with Carmen’s Kelp Forest Background stamp from SCACD Stamps (available in the US at SCACD).

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.
