SCACD Digital - Thaddeus the Vampire - www.markergeek.com

Today I’m sharing a fun card featuring an SCACD Digital Stamps image. I’m also joining in with a group of bloggers including some of the SCACD Design Team, to help showcase some of the fantastic images now available through SCACD Digital. We’re focusing on Autumn/Fall images and the spooktacular! Some people have even taken a non-spooky digital stamp and given it a creepy twist, so beware. 😉

You can find the entire range of digital stamps available over in the SCACD Digital by Carmen Medlin section at Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design.

To check out all the creative fun on display today, grab a free digital stamp and be in with a chance at winning a prize, pop on over to the SCACD Store Blog for the full details and links to other designers.

My Card:

Recently I’ve felt like I was in a bit of a creative rut, colouring lots of images but doing them all in the same way because I have been colouring them for a specific purpose. So, I’ve been finding some ways to break out of that and get back to having some fun. One way I enjoy playing with images is to create scenes or to colour backgrounds for them and I’ve been trying to do that again recently with thanks to Sandy Allnock for the inspiration!

My card today is pretty simple, and was inspired by one of Kristina Werner’s recent card layouts. I thought it would showcase the awesomely hilarious Thaddeus the Vampire image pretty well.

Love this guy! He’s nice and easy to colour, and is perfect for fun Halloween cards and non-Halloween cards alike. He comes with the sentiment “Some Days Are Just Batty!”, great for cheering up a frazzled friend or family member.

Did you know?

SCACD Digital images come in standard jpg format and png format with transparent backgrounds, so they are easy to combine with other digital images include background scene elements.

The Details:

Thaddeus the Vampire was printed on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before being coloured using Copic markers. The card is approximately A5 size and is top folding.

I added the little spiders using a clear stamp from the Tiddly Inks Bewitching stamp set.

The spider-web border was die-cut from black cardstock with a La-La Land Crafts die then covered with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen. The sentiment was die-cut three times from black cardstock using a Penny Black die (eeek! product code 51-077). The die-cut words were then layered to make one sturdy die-cut (thanks to Jennifer McGuire for all the die-cutting inspiration) which I then covered with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen and a layer of Ranger Glossy Accents.
