Stamping Bella - Hallowen Cat - www.markergeek.com

I’ve got a fun little card to share with you today, featuring one of the new Christine Grove rubber stamps from Stamping Bella. I’ve got a major soft spot for Christine’s images, particularly the animals. They are quirky and definitely make me smile while I’m colouring.

Along with my card I created a very simple guide to colouring a basic lantern glow. This isn’t by any means the only way to do it, but I wanted to show you how easy it is to do, especially if like me you’re adding it as an afterthought to an already coloured image with background (I coloured the image in a hurry and it wasn’t until I started to put the card together that I really considered the little lantern).

The Card:

Love him with those little ears poking up through the hat!

The Details:

I stamped Halloween Cat using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring using Copic markers.

UK/European Readers: the latest Stamping Bella releases are available to order at Quixotic Paperie and will be arriving in stock very soon.

US/Canadian Readers: pop on over to the brand spanking new Stamping Bella website. All orders are now shipped from the US.

I used Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Femme Frames dies (my friend Tara at Make the Day Special stocks Mama Elephant here in the UK) for the image and frame around it, and a die from the Penny Black Eeek! die set to create the inlaid “boo”. The card base was created using pearlescent white card, the front of which I coloured with an orange Copic marker (just along the edges that would be visible around the die-cut frame).
