Stamping Bella - Uptown Girl Savannah has a Star - www.markergeek.com

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to launch in to the Christmas cards and crafts! This year I’m more prepared than in previous years, so I will have lots of inspiration to share. I’m not completely done with autumn though, so expect a few autumn cards here and there this month. I’m in no particular hurry for winter. 😉

Today I’ve got a little card to share featuring one of the new releases from Stamping Bella. When Emily showed this Uptown Girl image to me I gasped. Definitely one of my favourites from the release. Along with my card I also have a little card-making tip for you, so keep reading!

Isn’t she gorgeous? And surprisingly easy to colour once you get stuck in, so don’t be intimidated by that outfit!

The Details:

I stamped Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Savannah using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring using Copic markers.

UK/European Readers: the latest Stamping Bella releases are available to order at Quixotic Paperie and have literally just arrived IN STOCK! Very happy about that and the fact that all pre-orders are in the process of being dispatched.  There will be lots of very happy stampers this week!

US/Canadian Readers: pop on over to the brand spanking new Stamping Bella website. All orders are now shipped from the US.

I used Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Femme Frames dies for the image and frame around it. The stamped sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set and was stamped on my background using Ranger Archival Ink in Carnation Red from the Wendy Vecchi Designer Series.

Card-making Tip:

How do you get perfectly coordinating layers for your card? Colour them with your markers! It’s just as easy as it sounds and you don’t need to use a ridiculous amount of ink as you can see. I don’t keep much coloured cardstock on hand – marker refills are way easier to store! This is also an application where that chisel tip will come in handy.
