Make it Crafty Magnolias for Mum Card - www.markergeek.com

Today’s card has the honour of being my very first creation for 2015, as well as being the first colouring I’ve done since early December. I was definitely feeling a little rusty. 😉

I hope your New Year is off to a good start. Remember to be kind to yourselves this year and enjoy it!

Read on for the card, blog hop details and a Copic Colour Palette for the image.

The Waffle:

I was delighted to join in with this new release blog hop for one of my favourite companies, especially since it gave me the perfect excuse to get on top of my card-making for the year. My Mum and Paul’s Mum both love gardening and flowers, so that’s one Mother’s Day card down already!

The new release of beautifully illustrated floral images is available both in digital and rubber stamp form. They all come with hand doodled sentiments and of course you could interchange the sentiments between all the different flowers to get maximum use out of them all.

If you’re already on the hop, you should have found your way over here from FAYE’S BLOG. If not you can find the start back at ANDREA’S BLOG. There are prizes hidden along the way, so be sure to check out all the stops!

The Details:

Digital Stamps: New flower digital stamps available direct from Make it Crafty.

Rubber Stamps: Make it Crafty Flower Stamp sets available at Quixotic Paperie (my UK based online store) or direct from Make it Crafty in Australia.

I stamped Magnolias for Mum  using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic markers. I stamped the image twice, once in each corner, using them to frame the sentiment in the middle.

The card is approximately A6 in size.
