MFT Die-namics Game Controller Card - www.markergeek.com

I’ve got a fun clean and simple (CAS) card to share today using a die set that I am sure is going to be well used in this house!

Read on to see the card along with a Copic speed colouring video and Copic Colour Palette.

The Waffle:

I made today’s card back in early February for a family birthday, because the MFT Die-namics Game Controller die and the coordinating sentiment stamp set were just perfect (and will be for numerous cards I need to make). I created a little speed colouring video for you, showing how I coloured the die cut using Copic markers.

One of the reasons I like to colour die cuts with my markers is that I no longer own much coloured card stock. I’ll explain more about that in a future post, as it relates to my epic clear out and reorganisation mission. 😉

In the video below I show two ways you could colour the die cut, the more detailed version as shown on my card and a very quick “flat” coloured version, which is pretty effective in its own right especially as an alternative to using coloured card.

Make sure you check out my Instagram feed if you want to keep up with what I’m colouring for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge! I think I’ve missed two days so far and the thirty days is nearly up, not bad going!

Don’t forget that if you’re looking for a crafty bargain pop on over to my UK based online store where the Spring Clearance discounts on many items have been increased! You can now enjoy up to 50% off many items. Until midnight on 31st March you can also enjoy 15% off everything else in stock too!

Perfect for many of the male cards you might need to make, but also for the geeky gamer girls like me. 😉

The Details:

The focal image was created using the smaller die cut from the MFT Die-namics Game Controller die set. I die cut the controller from my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers.

I created the cord for the controller using some twine which I coloured with a black marker. The sentiment and background were both stamped using stamps from the My Favorite Things “Level Up” clear stamp set.

I purchased the Lil Inker Designs stitched rounded rectangle die set used to create the layers on my card front from my friend Tara at Make the Day Special here in the UK.
