I’ve got a couple of cute cards to share today, created for my Stamp It Saturday feature over on the Stamping Bella blog. Read on for all the details!

Marker Geek Stamping Bella Little Bits Fall 2017

The new Fall 2017 Littles & Little Bits stamp sets are so cute, and autumn is my favourite time of year (I might have mentioned this once or twice), so I just had to find some time to play with them this week. I’m hard at work on the colouring for the Christmas/Winter release, so I needed a break from my Copics and dusted off my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils for some play time.

US/Canada Readers: You can order all of the new stamps now direct from Stamping Bella in the US HERE.

UK/Europe Readers: Tracy at DiestoDieFor has the new Fall 2017 stamps in stock HERE.

Obviously the Littles and Little Bits are fantastic for playing with scene building either by stamping and masking or by die cutting and layering. There are also lots of other ways to have fun with them. One of my favourite things to do with cute accessory stamps is to create repeat patterns either for backgrounds or as the main layer of the card. Colouring the same small image repeatedly can be quite relaxing – less decision making, more zoning out and just losing yourself in the colouring. The end results are really fun and eye-catching too – added bonus!

Marker Geek Stamping Bella Little Bits Fall Fruits Collection Toadstool Card

This first card features just one of the adorable toadstool stamps from the Little Bits Fall Fruit Collection stamp set (UK link). I stamped it repeatedly on Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface paper* using My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, coloured a quick background using my G21 Copic Sketch Marker*, spritzed with some Copic Colorless Blender Solution* to give it a little texture then coloured the toadstools using my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils*. I matted the finished piece on some Bazzill Kraft Cardstock* and added a sentiment from the Stamping Bella Fall Sentiment set (UK link) on a strip of the same cardstock.

Marker Geek Stamping Bella Little Bits Hedgie & His Acorns Card

My second card features a similar repeat stamped background using the same Little Bits Fall Fruit Collection stamp set (UK link) , except this time I stamped with Ranger Archival Sepia ink* on Bazzill Kraft Cardstock*, left it uncoloured and used it as a background piece to coordinate with my main focal image Littles Hedgie & His Acorns (UK link), again stamped on Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface paper* and coloured using Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils*. I matted each layer with a copper coloured piece from the DCWV Metallics Cardstock Stack. I do love that little Hedgie, perhaps even more now I’ve coloured him using pencils!
