The Greeting Farm March Release Hop – Anya Blooms

Hi everyone!

It’s hard to believe that in just the last few short days, MARCH has arrived!  With it comes the release of FOUR new stamps at The Greeting Farm!

It’s been so much fun sharing the arrival of Anya Blooms, Blush Beatrice, CC Monday Morning, and the new Blush Crown stamp with you all this week…and we are pleased to announce that they are ALL available NOW in the TGF Store!

I used ANYA BLOOMS for my card today.  I just couldn’t resist colouring her up again, this time with a really summery vibe! You can see my earlier card featuring her HERE if you missed it.

2013_03_01_tgf_anyablooms

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The papers I used are from my scrap box, I’m not sure which brand, could be MME, or maybe Fancy Pants.  Once again, I added some interest to the edges with a Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber in “Snow Cap”.

We have a spectacular BLOG HOP for you today, starting on the TGF blog!

Even more exciting?  ONE lucky winner will receive the ENTIRE MARCH RELEASE as the prize!  Simply follow the list of participants, including our fabulous PREMIERE Guest Team, leave some comments, and come back to the TGF BLOG letting us know you’ve hopped.  The winner will be announced on SATURDAY morning so you have until 11:30pm CST today to complete the hop and keep your fingers crossed!

Can’t wait to find out who wins?  Everything is now available in the store, so happy shopping and let’s MARCH into Spring!

SCS Love Fest: Bring On The Bling!

There’s some fun going on over on the Splitcoast Stampers forum!  SCS and their ten member companies are holding the very first “Love Fest”.  There’s lots going on, with challenges and chat from all the member companies including STAMPING BELLA!

MC-LoveFest-400x333

Today the Stamping Bella hostess challenge is starting.  You can see the challenge thread over on SCS HERE.  We’re asking you to BRING ON THE BLING and join us.  Two lucky participants will each win a $25 Stamping Bella voucher, so it’s well worth entering.  All you need to do is follow the challenge and upload your entries to the SCS gallery using the keyword supplied in the challenge thread.

You can also drop by the Stamping Bella forum HERE and check out our Meet The Babes thread for some fun bios from the team.  We’re also inviting you to chat with us and ask any questions you may have for the Babes.

I created this card for the challenge.  Somehow I managed to locate possibly the only pot of glitter I still have in my craft room!

2013_02_18_stampingbella_happysilhouette

I stamped one of the Stamping Bella Journal Your Art Out Happy Silhouettes (available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie) using Versamark ink on black cardstock, then used SU Heat and Stick powder to cover the image with SU Diamond Dust glitter.

The sentiment is from an older Stamping Bella image – Addy’tude Loves to Sparkle (currently on sale).

That’s it!  Hope to see you joining us over on SCS – drop by and say hi.

Something Sweet for Bellariffic Friday

Well, once again, the weekend is very welcome indeed!  This week has been a little stressful, and I am worn out.  Whining over – I have a Bellariffic Friday card to show you!  Before I do though, some news stuffs!

Emily is having a sale at Stamping Bella!  Some lines are retiring and have already been put on clearance, but because she’s a little crazy, Emily is also giving you 15% off storewide!  Yep, the 15% offer code ineedtopurge2013 will stack with existing sale discounts.  But, only till midnight on Sunday 3rd Feb 2013, so be quick!

This week’s theme was “You are so sweet”, so I chose a sweet image.  You can’t get much sweeter than Amariah Rauscher’s little characters.  This is Matilda on her Swing (also available at Quixotic Paperie here in the UK).

2013_02_01_sb_matildaswing

Adorable.   I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

SPLITCOAST STAMPERS FORUM FUN: In the first of what will hopefully be many threads, I have posted a step by step look at how I coloured little Matilda!  You will have to visit the Stamping Bella forum over on Splitcoast Stampers to check it out HERE.

Lots of pics, plus full marker info and a few notes along the way.  I’d love to hear from you over there, so feel free to drop in with any comments and questions!

PLUS don’t forget to play along with the latest challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.  Join in with the theme “Lovey Dovey” – create something love themed, and you could win $20 in Bella Bucks!  Pop on over HERE to the thread to read all about how to enter. We really want to see you getting those Stamping Bella stamps all inky! You have until the end of Monday 4th February to enter.

NEXT WEEK’S BELLARIFFIC CHALLENGE: the next challenge is a sketch (see below)! Follow it using a Stamping Bella stamp (or more than one!) and email your entries to Emily at Stamping Bella by the end of Thursday 7th February to be in with a chance of winning some Bella Bucks.

Have a great weekend, whatever you’re up to!

Follow Your Dreams in Black & Gold

Phew, bit of a stressful week so far.  Good job the weekend is almost in sight.  I haven’t been in the mood to colour, rather I’ve been playing with inks, paints and sprays!  I’m finally leaping in with both feet and exploring the world of mixed media and art journalling.  Don’t worry, I’m not deserting my markers, I’m just embracing a new creative challenge.

When creating last week’s Bellariffic Friday card (see HERE), I also stamped the gorgeous Stamping Bella – Follow Your Dreams image on black card using a gold ink (Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink).  I quite like the elegant look it lends, which contrasts with last weeks colourful offering!  The first photo doesn’t really show the gold off well (in February I will be investing in some new lighting, that’s for sure) make sure you check out the other pic below to get the true effect.

That’s it!  Short and simple.  I’ll be back tomorrow with a little something to show you!

The Time To Relax…

I have another new Stamping Bella Uptown Girl to share with you today.  This one is so apt…

Meet REILLY LOVES TO RELAX.

Another very clean and simple card from me, I just had fun colouring and then popped the image on a card. Of course, with this cold that’s about all I’ve been capable of, but there you go. ;-)

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. I layered with plain coloured cardstock and accented with just three little gems.

SCS CHALLENGE: This card would of course be perfect for the current challenge over on the Stamping Bella SCS Forum!  You have until midnight EST on Monday 7th January to enter a card featuring lots of WHITE SPACE.  Pop over to the Bellatastic Tuesday thread to find out all the details.

BELLARIFFIC FRIDAY NEWS: the first Bellariffic Friday post for 2013 will go up on Bloggabella on Friday 11th January! The first challenge is a SKETCH – see below.  Email your entries to Emily at Stamping Bella by the end of Thursday 10th January to be in with a chance of winning some Bella Bucks.

I’ll be back tomorrow with my 2012 review post and some vague rambling about my hopes/plans for 2013!

A Little Uptown Sophistication

I will be sharing a post on Sunday looking back at some of my favourite cards of 2012 – it’s a little exercise I do enjoy, I just haven’t been particularly motivated thanks to this monster of a cold that just will not go away!

In the meantime, I have my first card of 2013 to share.  Em at Stamping Bella is releasing some gorgeous new Uptown Girls stamps today.  Keep an eye on Bloggabella to see exactly when they are available to order.  And yes, for you UK fans, I will be stocking them at Quixotic Paperie in the near future! Perfect way to kick off the crafty year.

You will notice that my card is pretty clean and simple, even moreso than usual.  I’ll be chatting about this in another post, but you will be seeing a lot of “clean and simple” in my cardmaking this year as it fits perfectly with my current mindset.

Meet AUDREY!  She is the most perfect Uptown Girl, is she not?  Love that quote too.

Final Card of 2012!

This is another of the cards that should have been posted over Christmas, and is my final card for 2012. It’s a nice clean and simple one, but I do love it. No colouring, just ink and paper and a couple of dies.

I stamped Stamping Bella – Hanging Ornaments with red SU ink on kraft cardstock, and inked the edges with SU ink in brown.

That’s it!  Hope you have a wonderful New Year’s Eve, whatever you have planned.  We’re full of cold and the dog has an ear infection, so we’ll be cuddled up on the sofa watching a film – actually doesn’t sound too bad at all, apart from the illness!

My very best wishes to all of you for 2013, I hope it brings lots of joy and success for everyone, and of course lots of crafty fun!

Merry Christmas Sistahs!

This post was meant to go up on Christmas Eve, to convey my best wishes for Christmas.  Oh well!  Here are my belated Christmas wishes for you all…

Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls - Three Amigas - www.quixoticcards.com

I used one of my favourite new Stamping Bella images - Uptown Girls Three Amigas (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie – the store will be open again around 5th January 2013) .  Fabulous aren’t they?! I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

This card fits in rather nicely with the current challenge we have running over on the Stamping Bella SCS forum – to create a card with lots of white space.  You still have time to join in with us, as the challenge finishes at midnight EST on Monday 7th January 2012.  Pop on over to the Bellatastic Tuesday #2 post on the forum for full details!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the last of my 2012 cards, and the last Christmas themed card you’ll be seeing from me for quite a while! ;-)

Hopping with a Magnolia Cutie!

On my card today I have used the adorable Magnolia Stamps Tilda in Ugg Shoes.

She has of course been coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin brush markers, and here are the details of the markers used:

About Shinhan Touch Twin markers:

The Touch Twin marker contains an alcohol-based ink that doesn’t dissolve printed ink toner, allowing for odorless, vividly colored artwork on printed materials.

Rain, Snow or Shine…

I was hoping to post a fun and spooky Halloween card today, but unfortunately (as seems to be typical at this time of year) I simply ran short on time.  So, I wish you a spooktacular Halloween, but today I’m going to share something completely non-spooky!

Before I share, I’d like to send my very best wishes to all my friends in the US who have been affected by the storm.  I’ve been following the news reports over here, and have been hoping that you all stay safe.

So, today’s card has been “in the works” for a few weeks.  That is to say, I came up with the idea and it has taken me a few weeks to actually sit down and make it. ;)

You may spot that I have once again used that old favourite - Stamping Bella Polaroid Frame stamp (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).  I masked and stamped my Uptown Girls – Lolly, Quinn and Pippa (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie) in the frame and cut the inner portion of the frame out.

Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls Rain Snow Shine by www.quixoticcards.com/blog

Cool, huh?  Love the sketchy look of the frame.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with a combination of ShinHan Touch Twin Markers and Copics.

Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls Rain Snow Shine by www.quixoticcards.com/blog

I used some Tim Holtz chit-chat stickers and the MFT High Rise Alphabet Lower Case die set to create the sentiment.  The designer paper is from an older My Mind’s Eye paper pack.

What do you think? I love how it turned out, which is actually slightly different from how I first saw it in my head.

Anyway, the dog has been walked, work has been done, chores have been done (sort of), the weather is dismal, and I’ve got colouring to get done!  Tonight I plan on making some popcorn and watching a scary film (or two).
