Keep Dreaming!

Keep dreaming, and dream big!  That’s my motto at the moment, and it seemed perfect to go with this dreamy girl by Diane Duda for Stamping Bella!

“Yours Truly” is one of my absolute favourite stamps so far this year.  Love her.

Diane Duda and other Stamping Bella stamps are available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

“I Cherish Your Heart” Tag

So, it’s May.  How did that happen?!

April wasn’t a great month overall, and it definitely wasn’t a good blogging month.  May WILL be better!

I’ve got a quick but sweet tag to share today, featuring one of my favourite recent releases from Stamping Bella – Diane Duda’s “I Carry Your Heart With Me” (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).

The stamp actually comes with the sentiment “I Carry Your Heart With Me”, which is lovely, but I wanted something slightly different, plus I’m trying to use up some of my stash of stickers!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers before cutting it out.

The designer paper is from the beautiful Prima Marketing Inc Lyric 6×6 pad.

The Way You Move…

I mentioned yesterday that life has been a bit stressful.  A couple of Fridays ago, I woke up to the news that my Dad had been taken to hospital after his ICD unit kicked in – there was apparently an issue with his heart medication that caused the problem.  He was out of hospital the following day, but that was a bit of a shock (ha!).  At the same time, we were also noticing some issues with our dog.  After a couple of trips to the vet and a particularly bad “episode” last Friday, we realised she was having minor seizures.  Alongside the vets we are trying to figure out why, and it looks like she has an issue with her liver.

With all that has been going on, along with everyday stuff, I have been pretty exhausted, hence the lack of posts here!  Things seem to be stabilising though, and we’re hoping we can figure out a way forward for the dog.  So, here I am!

I didn’t get chance to post my Bellariffic Friday card yesterday as I planned – I got caught up in some colouring for a project that is due next week.  So, here it is!

Love the Diane Duda stamps, the sentiments they convey are lovely, and there is a beautiful whimsy in Diane’s artwork. Plus, they are a nice size for colouring!  This one is THE WAY YOU MOVE (UK readers – the Diane Duda stamps are available at Quixotic Paperie).

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The designer paper is from the beautiful Prima Marketing Inc Fairy Rhymes 6×6 pad.  I distressed the edges of all the layers and the diecuts with an Acrylic Paint Dabber in Snow Cap.  The diecut branches behind the image are the Dies by SCACD Breezy Branches Statement Corner.

If you dropped by yesterday, you will know that the Stamping Bella Babes are currently showing off previews of the upcoming release, and that we have a fantastic new artist in the mix – Diane Duda!

Today I have another Diane Duda card to share with you, featuring one of my favourites from the new release.  Meet “Yours Truly”.

Isn’t she gorgeous?  Love that hair, and the movement in the image, not to mention the expression on her face.  Just lovely!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The papers I used are both Magnolia and once again I have used up scraps from my scrap box – I’m challenging myself to empty that thing before Summer. 😉

I used a combination of MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and Dies by SCACD Garden Corners dies to embellish.  I distressed the edges of the papers and diecuts with an acrylic paint dabber in white, and also did some sewing!

That’s it for today!  I’ll be back tomorrow with some more cards.  Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

You may have heard the whispers about a fab new artist in the Stamping Bella camp.  Well, the cat is out of the crafty bag, and we are thrilled to say that Stamping Bella are now bringing you stamps by DIANE DUDA!

I’ve been a fan of Diane’s art for quite a while.  Love the messages in her work, and the sweet whimsy in her images.

There are FOUR fantastic Diane Duda stamps being released in the next week, along with some new Uptown Girls and a couple of Mo Manning cuties!  The Babes are previewing the new images this week, so pop on over to BLOGGABELLA and check out the previews from the whole team as the week goes on.

For my preview card today I used one of the new Diane Duda stamps – “Life is Good”.  This one just makes me GRIN!  Love how joyful this image is, and she just seemed to cry out for some bright colours to set her off.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The paper I used is actually a magazine freebie I had in my scrap box, I think it is by Raspberry Road.  I used a combination of MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and Dies by SCACD Garden Corners dies to embellish.  I distressed the edges of the papers with an acrylic paint dabber in white, and also did some sewing!

And yes, for all you UK girls desperate to get your hands on the new release – they will all be coming to Quixotic Paperie!  Keep an eye out for their arrival in the next few weeks. 😉
