Following My True North & A Touch Twin Inspiration Hop

I’ve got another tag to share today!  I’m having a lot of fun making tags and playing with the new Susana Loves Stamps (SCACD) stamp release, plus some other new goodies that have found their way on to my desk.

Today’s tag was created for a fun informal inspiration hop the Touch Twin Markers and More design team are having.  We hope you will join us and enjoy the inspiration on offer.

2013_03_18_truenorthtag

For the focal point of my tag I used the new compass from the Susana Loves Stamps “Nature’s Direction” set, also available in the larger Complete Accessories Collection Set (US Readers: the Susana Loves Stamps sets are available in the US from Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design along with a host of other products, including Touch Twin Markers, Art Anthology sprays etc also used on this tag!). I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

ShinHan Touch Twin Markers Used: Y36, YR32, Y41, BR104, BR100, BR102, PB77, P83, for extra shading: WG2, WG5

I created the tag base by cutting it with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations die, then sprayed it with Art Anthology Colorations Spray in Mocha.  I stamped and embossed one of the female silhouettes from the Susana Loves Stamps Blank Canvas Women Set, and then added some extra texture to the tag using a stencil and some chalk ink.  I then applied my wording using alpha stickers and popped my coloured and cut out compass on the top!

That’s it!  I hope you’ve enjoyed stopping by and checking out my project today.  If you fancy leaving a comment, I would love to hear from you as always.

Here’s the hop list for you:

Hopping with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – March 2013 Release!

I’m happy to be joining in with the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps blog hop this month as a guest.  Told you I wouldn’t be abandoning KKS completely. ;-)

When I saw the stamps being released this time, I fell in love, hard!  I have a thing for more traditional fairy/sprite images, and the Annie Rodrigue stamps being released today are perfect!  Love them.

The stamps are now available direct from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps in Canada,
and also from me in the UK at Quixotic Paperie!

Don’t forget to visit all the blogs on today’s hop (see the list by clicking on the blue frog at the end of my post), as Kimmie will be giving away some stamps!

So, of course, I chose to showcase one of the new sprites on today’s card.  This is ISADORA.

2013_03_17_kks_isadora

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

The paper is from my scrap box, I believe it was by Memory Box.  The gorgeous die cut branches are the Dies by SCACD – Breezy Branches Statement Corner die, which I am in love with – you could easily cut the diecuts up and use the branches behind flowers etc too! Lots of possibilities.

That’s it from me!  Click on the blue frog and go hopping!

My Heart Bleeds – Something Different for the SCACD Release Hop!

Well, another week has whizzed on by.  As usual I’m in a complete daze, wondering where the time went and why I haven’t quite achieved everything I intended.  C’est la vie!
Today I am thrilled to be helping showcase the latest release from SCACD’s Susana Loves Stamps range.  This month Susana has a brilliant new mixed media collection for you, building on the original release (recently featured in Craft Stamper Magazine - February 2013 issue) to take you on new creative adventures!  Mix and match and use a variety of techniques to grace cards/papercrafting projects as well as altered canvases and other mixed media projects.
I’ve been tiptoeing around mixed media/art journaling/etc for a while, as you may know if you’re a regular reader – I’ve referred to it from time to time.  Mostly I’ve been admiring other people’s work, because oh my, there are some talented people out there creating a wide array of mixed media projects.
I’m starting to make time to jump in and be brave and have some inky painty fun.  Today’s tag is the result of a very fun session with stamps, paints, papers, Frantage, inks and of course my ShinHan Touch Twin markers.  Be warned, inky painty fun really brings out my WEIRD, and I have plenty of weird to go around. ;-)
On my tag I have used the awesome heart stamp from the “Follow Your True Heart” set.
2013_03_15_scacd_hearttag
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers., before cutting out ready to stick on my tag.
On the tag I used a sheet from the Prima Marketing Inc Engraver 6×6 pad (LOVE), which I liberally distressed with Frantage embossing enamel, a pair of scissors and distress ink.  I also created “blood” splatters by flicking Adirondack ink on to the tag.  After sticking my heart image on the tag, I outlined it with a charcoal pencil to help it stand out from the background.
That’s it!  The new stamps and some beautiful new Dies by SCACD dies are now available here in the UK at Quixotic Paperie and in the US at Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design!  Here are the links:
Finally here’s the hop list for you!  Make sure you take a look at all the designer’s blogs today, I know they each have something inspiring to show you!

Bellariffic Friday & A New Release!

* For my The Greeting Farm blog hop post, scroll down or click HERE *

Happy Friday!  Got to say, I think I blinked and missed the week.  I’m pretty sure I woke up yesterday and it was Monday… ;-)  Not going to complain too much though, Friday is one of my favourite days.

Today is a particularly good Friday, as it brings both the usual Bellariffic Friday challenge AND the new stamp release at Stamping Bella!  Yep, that’s right, the new stamps will all be available at Stamping Bella today (and all orders over $55 will receive a free Ketto stamp goodie bag worth $30!).

So, for my Bellariffic Friday card, I used one of the GORGEOUS new Uptown Girls images – SUNNY.  When I saw the new Uptownies, I almost fell off my chair.  Seriously.  LOVE.  Between them and the new Diane Duda stamps, I am in colouring heaven. Plus of course, the two chubbalicious Mo Manning images being released today.

Anyway, here is Sunny! Is she not faaaaaaabulous, darlings? Haha!

2013_03_01_sb_uptown_sunny

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The paper I used is a lightly patterned kraft paper that I have had in my stash for ages, I believe it was from Stampin’ Up.  I used MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flag STAX dies to cut the little banner (I chopped them down to make the short banner, and punched holes using my Crop-o-dile), which I embellished with gems.  I distressed the edges of the papers with a chalk ink, just to soften the edges.  The sentiment layer and mat were cut using Spellbinders labels dies.

And yes, for all you UK girls desperate to get your hands on the new release – they will all be coming to Quixotic Paperie!  Keep an eye out for their arrival in the next few weeks. ;-)

The Greeting Farm March Release Hop – Anya Blooms

Hi everyone!

It’s hard to believe that in just the last few short days, MARCH has arrived!  With it comes the release of FOUR new stamps at The Greeting Farm!

It’s been so much fun sharing the arrival of Anya Blooms, Blush Beatrice, CC Monday Morning, and the new Blush Crown stamp with you all this week…and we are pleased to announce that they are ALL available NOW in the TGF Store!

I used ANYA BLOOMS for my card today.  I just couldn’t resist colouring her up again, this time with a really summery vibe! You can see my earlier card featuring her HERE if you missed it.

2013_03_01_tgf_anyablooms

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The papers I used are from my scrap box, I’m not sure which brand, could be MME, or maybe Fancy Pants.  Once again, I added some interest to the edges with a Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber in “Snow Cap”.

We have a spectacular BLOG HOP for you today, starting on the TGF blog!

Even more exciting?  ONE lucky winner will receive the ENTIRE MARCH RELEASE as the prize!  Simply follow the list of participants, including our fabulous PREMIERE Guest Team, leave some comments, and come back to the TGF BLOG letting us know you’ve hopped.  The winner will be announced on SATURDAY morning so you have until 11:30pm CST today to complete the hop and keep your fingers crossed!

The Greeting Farm – March Previews – Monday Morning (on Thursday)!

Today is the final day of the March previews at The Greeting Farm!  Plus, it is one day away from Friday – suh-weet!

It’s hard to decide, but I think today’s preview might just be my favourite.  I am partiularly fond of the Creeper stamps, and the new release – Monday Morning – is just brilliant.  Love her!

Make sure you check out everyone’s samples over on the TGF BLOG, and read today’s post over there to see how you can win the new Monday Morning stamp.

Here she is!

2013_02_28_tgf_mondaymorning

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The paper I used is from my scrap box (again, I am being very good indeed so far this year) and is an older Magnolia design.

I used one of the MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners in one corner, and one of my personal favourites – the Dies by SCACD – Alice’s Clock Statement Corner die in the opposite corner to embellish.  I also used Spellbinders circle and pinking circle dies for the image layer and mats.  I distressed the edges of the papers and the diecuts with an acrylic paint dabber in silver and added a button threaded with black twine to finish off!

Stamping Bella – Yours Truly

For my TGF Preview post click HERE or scroll down further!

If you dropped by yesterday, you will know that the Stamping Bella Babes are currently showing off previews of the upcoming release, and that we have a fantastic new artist in the mix – Diane Duda!

Today I have another Diane Duda card to share with you, featuring one of my favourites from the new release.  Meet “Yours Truly”.

2013_02_27_sb_yourstruly

Isn’t she gorgeous?  Love that hair, and the movement in the image, not to mention the expression on her face.  Just lovely!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The papers I used are both Magnolia and once again I have used up scraps from my scrap box – I’m challenging myself to empty that thing before Summer. ;-)

I used a combination of MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and Dies by SCACD Garden Corners dies to embellish.  I distressed the edges of the papers and diecuts with an acrylic paint dabber in white, and also did some sewing!

That’s it for today!  I’ll be back tomorrow with some more cards.  Thanks for stopping by. :)

The Greeting Farm – March Previews – Blush Beatrice!

I’m back today with another preview from The Greeting Farm‘s March release!  Today we are showing off the new cutie in the Blush Society line – Blush Beatrice and the new “accessory” stamps – a little set of two fab crowns, perfect for backgrounds etc.

Make sure you check out everyone’s samples over on the TGF BLOG, and read today’s post over there to see how you can win the new Blush Beatrice and Crown stamps!

I had lots of fun colouring little Beatrice up.

2013_02_27_tgf_blushbeatrice

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The papers are a mixture from my scrap box, probably My Mind’s Eye.  I used Spellbinders dies to diecut the image and sentiment layers and mats, and distressed the edges of all the papers with a white acrylic paint dabber.  I used the smaller of the two crown stamps to accent the sentiment and make a feature of it.

Life Is Good with Stamping Bella’s Upcoming Release!

For my TGF Preview post click HERE or scroll down further!

You may have heard the whispers about a fab new artist in the Stamping Bella camp.  Well, the cat is out of the crafty bag, and we are thrilled to say that Stamping Bella are now bringing you stamps by DIANE DUDA!

I’ve been a fan of Diane’s art for quite a while.  Love the messages in her work, and the sweet whimsy in her images.

There are FOUR fantastic Diane Duda stamps being released in the next week, along with some new Uptown Girls and a couple of Mo Manning cuties!  The Babes are previewing the new images this week, so pop on over to BLOGGABELLA and check out the previews from the whole team as the week goes on.

For my preview card today I used one of the new Diane Duda stamps – “Life is Good”.  This one just makes me GRIN!  Love how joyful this image is, and she just seemed to cry out for some bright colours to set her off.

2013_02_25_sb_duda_lifeisgood

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The paper I used is actually a magazine freebie I had in my scrap box, I think it is by Raspberry Road.  I used a combination of MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and Dies by SCACD Garden Corners dies to embellish.  I distressed the edges of the papers with an acrylic paint dabber in white, and also did some sewing!

And yes, for all you UK girls desperate to get your hands on the new release – they will all be coming to Quixotic Paperie!  Keep an eye out for their arrival in the next few weeks. ;-)

SPLITCOAST STAMPERS FORUM FUN: The new Bellatastic Tuesday challenge has now been posted over on our Splitcoast Stampers forum.  Join in with the theme “Make it Pretty” –  quite simply, create something pretty (using a Stamping Bella stamp), and you could win $20 in Bella Bucks!  Pop on over HERE to the thread to read all about how to enter. The Greeting Farm – March Previews – Anya Blooms!

I am thrilled to be joining in with the fun at The Greeting Farm as a guest designer for the March release previews this week.  I’ve been a fan of The Greeting Farm since the beginning, so I was excited to join them as a guest this month, and even more excited when I saw the awesome images being released.

This first day of previews is for a new Anya set – Anya Blooms.  As you will see, she is utterly gorgeous!  I love the larger Anya stamp sets, and I think this one may actually be my favourite so far.  She’s just…so…pretty!

2013_02_26_tgf_anyablooms

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The paper I used is actually a magazine freebie I had in my scrap box. The sentiment is one of the ones that comes in the set – perfect!

What do you think? She definitely has me cheered up and thinking of Spring/Summer!

Pop on over to the The Greeting Farm blog to check out some more samples with this stamp set, and to join in for the chance to WIN one for yourself!
