Stamping Bella - Mo Manning Snow Pals Card & Video - www.markergeek.com

In 2012 I created a fun colouring tutorial for Some Odd Girl Stamps featuring their Winter Friends clear stamp set. I thought now would be a good time to repost that information along with some new inspiration. This time I’ve created a card and video featuring one of the new Mo Manning for Stamping Bella stamps.

So, if you’re looking for inspiration on creating beautiful backgrounds for Christmas and other winter cards using your markers keep reading!

Touch Twin Marker Challenge & Mo’s Heartless

Mid-week already…unbelievable!  I’m pretty sure I’m missing a day somewhere.  I’m still plodding along trying to get myself organised.  As you may have guessed, it’s a large project.  I’m getting there though, and am hoping to have everything done and dusted (literally) by the end of September.  Then I can start sharing more fun projects!  In the meantime, thank you for bearing with me and dropping by.

Today I’m here to share my Touch Twin Markers & More challenge card.  The current challenge is a photo inspiration:

The challenge will run from August 27th – September 8th with a winner being announced on September 9th.

One person will be chosen randomly  to win 12 Touch Twin markers!
Don’t have any Touch Twin markers? That’s OK too… for now. Starting soon we will require using our markers, but for now you can use any coloring medium.
Don’t have a blog? That’s OK – just post to any online gallery with the keywords TTC24 and TouchTwin and post a direct link in the comment section of the challenge post HERE.

I used one of Mo Manning’s fantastic “Heartless” images – Heartless.  I absolutely love her.

I printed the image on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Cupcake Thief www.quixoticcards.com

The Cupcake Thief!

It has been quite some time since I coloured a Mo Manning image.  Mo’s designs remain among my favourites, I just simply haven’t found the time in the past year.  Time to change that, and the latest challenge at Touch Twin Markers & More Challenges provided the perfect opportunity.

The current Touch Twin Markers & More Challenge is “Good Eats”.  We’d like to see you creating a project with a FOOD theme and doing some shading.

The challenge will run from August 13th – August 25th with a winner being announced on August 26th.  One person will be chosen at random to win TWELVE Touch Twin markers!
At the moment you can enter using any colouring medium, so get those entries in!  To enter your creation, visit this post >HERE<.

I had a lot of fun this week colouring up “Cupcake Thief”.  I love the humour in this image, and those cupcakes look delicious.

Cupcake Thief is available as a rubber stamp from Stamping Bella.  In the UK you will find her at Quixotic Paperie!  If you prefer your images in digital format you can find her over at Mo’s Digital Pencil.

I coloured the image on Make it Colour Blending Card with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The designer papers are from the Fancy Pants Designs – Be You 6×6 pad.  I used Spellbinders Grand Labels 23 to cut out the image, and MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and MFT Die-Namics Simply Scallops Medium.

Thank you for stopping by!  I’ll be back tomorrow with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps preview and  challenge card.

2011 In Review

The festivities are almost over, along with the year, and we’re all looking back over 2011, getting ready to look forward to what 2012 will bring.  As usual, I didn’t complete anywhere near what I wanted to do this Christmas in terms of crafty projects.  I have, however, achieved something more important – I have relaxed and enjoyed.  So, I’m not going to beat myself up for not sharing more here on my blog this December, I just hope you all had as nice and relaxing a Christmas as we did here!

I do love looking back at the year and sharing my personal favourite creations.  So, like my lovely friend Kim Dellow, I’m here to share my favourite makes from 2011.  Click the links above each pic to check out the original posts and get product details if you want them, and click on the photos to see a larger version.

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – White Rabbit

December has been a pretty lean month on the blog here so there wasn’t much to choose from, but I do love this card, and I am a sucker for Alice in Wonderland themed images/papers!

Best wishes from me for a very happy New Year!  I hope 2012 brings us all lots of joy and creativity, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all!

You Make Such a Difference

Today I’d like to share a card I created for a commission.  This was a fun one to create, and reminded me how much I enjoy making easel cards.

The image is one of Mo Manning’s digital images – Erasmus.  The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley.

Mo Manning - Erasmus - www.quixoticcards.com

I coloured her with Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card.  Designer papers are a mix of The Girl’s Paperie – Paper Girl and Echo Park – Country Drive, both of which you can grab at Quixotic Paperie until midnight tonight (18th July 2011)!

The tags and label were all cut using Magnolia DooHickey Dies.  The scalloped border on the card front is part of the Whimsy Shapeology Double Scallop Border Die.  All layers were distressed using Distress Ink – Antique Linen.
