Stamping Bella - Uptown Girls Rain Snow Shine by www.quixoticcards.com/blog

Rain, Snow or Shine…

I was hoping to post a fun and spooky Halloween card today, but unfortunately (as seems to be typical at this time of year) I simply ran short on time.  So, I wish you a spooktacular Halloween, but today I’m going to share something completely non-spooky!

Before I share, I’d like to send my very best wishes to all my friends in the US who have been affected by the storm.  I’ve been following the news reports over here, and have been hoping that you all stay safe.

So, today’s card has been “in the works” for a few weeks.  That is to say, I came up with the idea and it has taken me a few weeks to actually sit down and make it. ;)

You may spot that I have once again used that old favourite – Stamping Bella Polaroid Frame stamp (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).  I masked and stamped my Uptown Girls – Lolly, Quinn and Pippa (also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie) in the frame and cut the inner portion of the frame out.

Cool, huh?  Love the sketchy look of the frame.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with a combination of ShinHan Touch Twin Markers and Copics.

I used some Tim Holtz chit-chat stickers and the MFT High Rise Alphabet Lower Case die set to create the sentiment.  The designer paper is from an older My Mind’s Eye paper pack.

What do you think? I love how it turned out, which is actually slightly different from how I first saw it in my head.

Anyway, the dog has been walked, work has been done, chores have been done (sort of), the weather is dismal, and I’ve got colouring to get done!  Tonight I plan on making some popcorn and watching a scary film (or two).

Bellariffic Friday – Take 3!

This week’s Bellariffic Friday challenge was to use three papers and three embellishments.  Here’s what I came up with!

v

The fab image is of course Stamping Bella Uptown Girls – Clarissa & Camille Share a Cafe (stamp is also available in the UK from Quixotic Paperie).

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.  The designer papers all came from a My Mind’s Eye 6×6 pad.  The corner diecuts were cut using Dies by SCACD – Classic Corners.

NEXT WEEK’S CHALLENGE: Follow the SKETCH (see below). Email your entries to Emily at Stamping Bella by Thursday 1st November to be in with a chance of winning some Bella Bucks.

Flying By with another Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Cutie!

Just a quick post today featuring one of the adorable Halloween Lulu stamps from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.

I used the little witchy Lulu from the HALLOWEEN LULU set (also available in Canada from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps).

The important thing to remember: witches aren’t just for Halloween!  There’s nothing Halloween specific about this image, so she would also be perfect for “Have a Bewitching Birthday” cards etc.  I LOVE Halloween, but it’s always nice to think of ways you can use the images year round.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

The designer papers are from an older My Mind’s Eye Halloween collection kit.  I used MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and Solid Bracket Border to accent.

Trick or Treat with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps & A Spooky Fun Event on the Quixotic Paperie Store Blog!

Have you seen the adorable Halloween themed stamp sets in the Emilie’s Etchings range from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps?  Artist Emilie Goulet illustrated two spooktacular stamp sets, and they are C.U.T.E!

My card features one of the stamps from the TOO CUTE TO SPOOK 2 set  (also available in Canada from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps).  Love this little guy, and he was a breeze to colour.

I created this card for a fun little event we’re having over on the Quixotic Inspirations blog with the Quixotic Paperie DT & Friends!  Every day this week we will be showing off Halloween makes to inspire you.  PLUS there is a giveaway, so make sure you pop on over to the Quixotic Inspirations Store Blog to check out my post today!

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.

The designer papers are from an older Echo Park Halloween collection kit (I have the latest Echo park Halloween papers – Chillingsworth Manor in 6×6 and 12×12 in stock over at QP!).  I used MFT Die-Namics Stacking Stars to accent, along with one of the awesome Halloween Trinkets sentiment stamps from the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps range!  The Trinkets sentiment stamps work well with circle punches or Spellbinders Nestabilities circle dies.

We All Scream For Izzy Ice Cream!

Today I’d like to share a card featuring another of the super sweet Candy Girls from the latest Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps release.  As usual, Annie Rodrigue’s images have been a lot of fun to colour, and as I simply had to colour them all, you’ll be seeing a few more cards featuring them over the next week or two.

Isn’t this one delicious?  Meet IZZY ICE CREAM (also available in Canada from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps).  Love that dress!

You’re One In a Million

You may have heard the news already, since Em simply couldn’t wait to spill the beans… I have rejoined the Stamping Bella team.  So, once again I will regularly be posting Bellariffic projects!

Today is my first official post as a reinstated “Babe”, so here goes…

I used Vintage Gum Ball Machine and the matching sentiment stamp on today’s card (stamp is available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).  Love!  So much fun, and surprisingly simple to colour.  The trick – don’t try and color all the gumballs individually!

Stamping Bella - Vintage Gumball Machine - www.quixoticcards.com

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers before cutting it out and popping up on foam pads.

The designer papers are My Mind’s Eye – A Happy Heart, and I stamped the sentiment directly on to the paper.  Finally, I accented with MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners.

That’s it!  I hope you’ve enjoyed checking out today’s card, and as always, thank you for stopping by.

A little bit of waffle:

I had a great time last weekend colouring and watching films, generally catching up on colouring work that needs to be done, and recharging a little!  I cannot believe how quickly the weeks are flying by, and this last week has been no exception.

I’m seeing a little light at the end of the work tunnel that I need to get through, and then I am hoping to make a few little changes here on the blog to make things a bit more interesting and fun!  So, watch this space. ;-)

My card:

On my card I have used an adorable set from Market Street Stamps – Pawprints On Our Hearts.  So sweet, and of course I am a complete sucker for canine themed stamps!
