Today’s card isn’t one I’d usually be sharing at the end of September, but the weather here is still warm and sunny (it’s warmer than it was in early August). So although the sentiment says “hello” you can consider this my little farewell to Summer with The Greeting Farm’s Miss Anya Summer.
Today I’m sharing another card created with the adorable Wild Sprouts Wild Child set from The Greeting Farm. You can see my previous card by scrolling down to the next post or clicking HERE.
This card uses the other character in the set. LOVE him! I think he might be my favourite of the pair, although that could easily change next time I colour them up.
Today’s card was created using a stamp set I fell in love with instantly – The Greeting Farm Wild Sprouts Wild Child. SO cute, and so much fun to colour. I’ll be colouring her again soon, as I really want to colour her outfit to look like a panda. On this card I went for the reverse as I wanted to colour her hood in black. Other completely unrealistic colour combinations would be good too – why not have fun and go wild?
As promised, I’m getting back to my colouring and card-making now that all the new furniture has been delivered and organised. I’ll give you a little tour of my new office/craft space soon, just need a couple of little extras to get it fully organised *cough* Ikea trolley I’ve been admiring for months *cough*.
For now, here’s one I DIDN’T create earlier! The second card to be completed in the new house. Whoo! Several others were completed over the weekend, and I’ll be sharing them in due course.
I’ve been on a bit of a The Greeting Farm (TGF) stamping/colouring binge. They were one of my first character stamp loves, and I have been making some time to play with them because they just make me happy.
We are now settling in to the new house quite nicely. There are still bits and pieces left to sort out, but the essentials are all set up, so I’m getting back to “normal”
Our niece has the honour of being the recipient of the very first card made in the new house! It was a perfect excuse to play with one of the stamps from the new Magical Beans Kit from The Greeting Farm, which I have been itching to play with since it arrived just before the move.
You can find the Magical Beans kit and other stamps from The Greeting Farm over at my store Quixotic Paperie. I am based in the UK, but ship worldwide! Plus, if you pop over there between now and midnight on Monday 4th August you could enjoy a fantastic 20% off everything!
Here it is! I decided to make a pop up box card because I love making them and my niece was so impressed with the one I made for her Nanny earlier this year (you can also see another one I made HERE). The Magical Beans images lend themselves pretty well to this as they are a little smaller than the standard TGF size.
Cute, isn’t she?! An absolute breeze to colour too. I always have fun colouring TGF characters. She was coloured with Copic Markers and a little pencil on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card.
Skin: E51, E53, E21, V95 Hair: Y32, Y35, E55, E57 Outfit: BG45, BG49, RV63, RV66
I created the papers myself, using a Prima stencil and my favourite Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magicals (Tibetan Poppy Teal, Magnolia Magenta Gold, Glory of the Seas Gold) I also used Luminarte Silks in Ice as a resist to create the star paper. Here’s a close up of some of the gorgeous sparkle:
The dies used for the flourish and leaf elements are Magnolia DooHickey dies. The sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set.
If you haven’t tried making one yet, you can find instructions on creating a Pop Up Box Card over at Splitcoast Stampers.
I hope you’ve enjoyed dropping by today. I’ll be back again soon with some more crafty fun!
It’s hard to believe that in just the last few short days, MARCH has arrived! With it comes the release of FOUR new stamps at The Greeting Farm!
It’s been so much fun sharing the arrival of Anya Blooms, Blush Beatrice, CC Monday Morning, and the new Blush Crown stamp with you all this week…and we are pleased to announce that they are ALL available NOW in the TGF Store!
I used ANYA BLOOMS for my card today. I just couldn’t resist colouring her up again, this time with a really summery vibe! You can see my earlier card featuring her HERE if you missed it.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. The papers I used are from my scrap box, I’m not sure which brand, could be MME, or maybe Fancy Pants. Once again, I added some interest to the edges with a Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber in “Snow Cap”.

ELAINE HUGHES <– YOU ARE HERE!
back to TGF BLOG!
Today is the final day of the March previews at The Greeting Farm! Plus, it is one day away from Friday – suh-weet!
It’s hard to decide, but I think today’s preview might just be my favourite. I am partiularly fond of the Creeper stamps, and the new release – Monday Morning – is just brilliant. Love her!
Make sure you check out everyone’s samples over on the TGF BLOG, and read today’s post over there to see how you can win the new Monday Morning stamp.
Here she is!
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. The paper I used is from my scrap box (again, I am being very good indeed so far this year) and is an older Magnolia design.
I used one of the MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners in one corner, and one of my personal favourites – the Dies by SCACD – Alice’s Clock Statement Corner die in the opposite corner to embellish. I also used Spellbinders circle and pinking circle dies for the image layer and mats. I distressed the edges of the papers and the diecuts with an acrylic paint dabber in silver and added a button threaded with black twine to finish off!
Come back tomorrow to join us for the release day hop shenanigans!
I’m back today with another preview from The Greeting Farm‘s March release! Today we are showing off the new cutie in the Blush Society line – Blush Beatrice and the new “accessory” stamps – a little set of two fab crowns, perfect for backgrounds etc.
Make sure you check out everyone’s samples over on the TGF BLOG, and read today’s post over there to see how you can win the new Blush Beatrice and Crown stamps!
I had lots of fun colouring little Beatrice up.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. The papers are a mixture from my scrap box, probably My Mind’s Eye. I used Spellbinders dies to diecut the image and sentiment layers and mats, and distressed the edges of all the papers with a white acrylic paint dabber. I used the smaller of the two crown stamps to accent the sentiment and make a feature of it.
That’s it! Hope you’ve enjoyed checking out my post today.
I am thrilled to be joining in with the fun at The Greeting Farm as a guest designer for the March release previews this week. I’ve been a fan of The Greeting Farm since the beginning, so I was excited to join them as a guest this month, and even more excited when I saw the awesome images being released.
This first day of previews is for a new Anya set – Anya Blooms. As you will see, she is utterly gorgeous! I love the larger Anya stamp sets, and I think this one may actually be my favourite so far. She’s just…so…pretty!
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. The paper I used is actually a magazine freebie I had in my scrap box. I think it is by Raspberry Road. I used a combination of MFT Die-Namics Photo Corners and Dies by SCACD Garden Corners dies to embellish, along with some little gems. I distressed the edges of the papers with an acrylic paint dabber in white, and also did some sewing!
The sentiment is one of the ones that comes in the set – perfect!
What do you think? She definitely has me cheered up and thinking of Spring/Summer!
Pop on over to the The Greeting Farm blog to check out some more samples with this stamp set, and to join in for the chance to WIN one for yourself!
Here are the marker details:
This week I needed to create a birthday card for our niece’s 6th birthday. She’s a typical 6 year old girl and loves all things princess/fairy/pink/pretty. Hunting through my stamp collection I found poor Princess Anya #2 from The Greeting Farm sitting unloved! Perfect.
I also realised this would be the perfect colouring project for the latest colouring challenge over at Touch Twin Markers & More Challenge Blog. The current challenge is a colour inspiration, and you will find all of the details over there in THIS POST, where you can also submit your entries!
The little circle sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Mini Party Letter Seals set. The designer papers are a mixture of Magnolia Stamps papers.
I used a few different dies on this card. Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles for the sentiment, layered on top of a Magnolia DooHickey Star Tag. I used my favourite Dies by SCACD Garden Corners die for the corners, and I used MFT Dienamics Scallop Ribbon Border Die across the middle. Phew!
I decorated the inside of the card to match, using the same border and corner dies to accent.
