Step By Step: Fun Halloween Cards & Ghosts with Copics

Waltzing Mouse Stamps - Boo & Friends Halloween Cards - www.markergeek.com

Sometimes (okay, fairly often) I see a stamp set I just cannot resist, and I will admit I am a total sucker for Halloween stamps. Waltzing Mouse Stamps recently released some great Halloween stamp sets, which somehow found their way in to my shopping basket. 😉

I thought it would be fun to do a little mini-tutorial on how I coloured these sweet little ghost stamps with Copic markers for my Halloween cards. You will find it towards the end of this blog post as a pinnable image!

Touch Twin Challenge TTC27 – BOO!

Thank goodness it’s Friday!  It may come around alarmingly quickly at the moment, but it is always welcome!  The only shame being that Monday also seems to come around pretty swiftly.

I’m here today with my Touch Twin Markers & More challenge card.

The current challenge is to make a Fall themed project in monochromatic colors.

One person will be chosen randomly to win!
If the chosen winner uses Touch Twin markers for their challenge entry (with color names or numbers listed on their entry blog post) they will win 12 Touch Twin markers!
And since we want everyone to be able to play….
If the chosen winner uses any other coloring mediums for their challenge entry they will win 6 Touch Twin markers!
Don’t have a blog? That’s OK. Just post to any online gallery with the keywords TTC27 and TouchTwin and post a direct link to the TTC27 Challenge post (HERE)
Here’s my card:

Get Well Wishes

I promised yesterday that I would be back with something to share, and here it is!  It is still Monday after all, albeit a bit late in the day!

I have been itching to colour up some of my Flourishes LLC stamps, and the Apple of My Eye set was perfect for a card I needed to create today.

Coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers on Make it Colour Blending Card, marker details are below!  The sentiment and border around it are from a Waltzing Mouse Stamps set – Fancy Phrases.  The little diecut flourishes are from the lovely Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Elegant Flourishes die.  Layered on Bazzill Kraft cardstock.

30th Birthday

It was Paul’s sister’s 30th Birthday this week, so of course, I made a special card for her.  When I made this one, my colouring abilities had taken a bit of a break (seriously, I tried to colour several images, and they all ended up in the bin), so I went with an elegant design using papers, dies and chipboard!

I made an easel card, as they always look so effective for special cards – they are such a pain to photograph well though, so this definitely looks better when viewed in person!

The gorgeous papers are My Mind’s Eye Meadowlark.  Unfortunately I don’t have this 12×12 pack in stock any more, but there is a gorgeous 6×6 Meadowlark pad.  Love the elegance of the papers.

The numbers are from my stash of chipboard alphas and numbers.  The ribbon slider is from the Make it Crafty Fancy Ribbon sliders pack, and the rest of the chipboard is from the Make it Crafty Butterfly Leaves lasercut chipboard pack.  This is definitely one of my favourite packs!  I painted all of the chipboard with silver acrylic paint, then when dry, covered it with Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy (clear).

I created the sentiment on the bottom panel using a mixture of clear stamps.  I LOVE clear stamps for sentiments, they make it so easy to mix ‘n match and get everything lined up first time.  I used Waltzing Mouse Stamps “Fancy Phrases” and Flourishes LLC “Fight Like A Girl”.  The dies I used are Magnolia DooHickey.

Hope you’re having a great weekend so far!
