Whoo!  A card!  Finally… Seems the old mojo needed a good kickstart, but I think we’re back in business!

There is a fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week, it proved to be perfect for the card I wanted to create with the gorgeous Underwater Adventure set from C.C. Designs.

C.C Designs - Mermaid Emma - Card

Mermaid Emma is such fun to colour and layer up.  As you can see from the side view below, I went a little crazy with the layers!  As usual, I’ve used my trusty Copics to colour, you will find a list at the end of the post.  For Emma’s hair, I’ve also used Shimmerz Paints in Angel Wings to give her some sparkle.  4mm flat backed pearls also proved to be a perfect fit to add a sweet accent to the image.

The flowers are from one of the Petaloo Dahlia Box Blends, and to add a little detail I’ve punched a couple of Martha Stewart Frond Branches and popped them behind the flower.  The papers, which work perfectly for an underwater themed card, are from the DCWV All Dressed Up stack.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.  I’m hoping to catch up with all your fab blogs today…wish me luck!
