It’s my turn to post a card for the Sundays with Crissy challenge!  This month the challenge theme is FLOWERS.  You can use an image that features flowers, papers with a floral pattern, paper flowers, flower shaped embellishments, diecuts, whatever!

You can enter your creations and find all the challenge details over in the SWC CHALLENGE #17 POST by Sarah.

There will be five free digis given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy’s images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.

Recently I’ve been itching to colour more flowers.  There are some gorgeous flower themed stamps out there, and they make a nice change from cute characters, plus they present their own colouring challenges.  So, as you can see, I decided to use one of Crissy’s gorgeous flower stamps available through Whimsy Stamps – FRAGRANT ROSE.

*** UK/EUROPE: You can find Crissy’s FRAGRANT ROSE stamp set and other WHIMSY STAMPS designs at Quixotic Paperie. ***

I was having trouble deciding what colour to use for the rose, when the latest Copic Creations challenge popped up in Google Reader!  This month they are looking for creations featuring images coloured in YELLOW, and since it’s a colour I don’t use that often, I jumped in!

Copic Colours: YR0000, Y15, Y17, Y19, T2, T4, T6, G20, G21, G24, G28

The designer paper is from the gorgeous PRIMA – BOTANICAL 6×6 PAD.  The bow was tied using the BOW-EASY.  I added a few 4MM FLATBACK PEARLS in the corners.

FYI – there’s a FANTASTIC new release on the way from Whimsy Stamps this week, and ALL of the new stamps and dies will be available in the WHIMSY STAMPS section at Quixotic Paperie on Wednesday (they are here, in stock and ready to go).  Make sure you check it out on Wednesday!
