Mo's Digital Pencil Hop

This is the first monthly blog hop for Mo’s Dream Team!  On the third Thursday of each month, the DT for Mo’s Digital Pencil will be getting together for a blog hop to show off projects created using the fantastic images created by Mo Manning.

Each month one of us will challenge the rest of the DT to create projects following a certain theme or style.  This month is Lori‘s turn and she has asked us all to create a project using both our favorite Mo image and a favourite colour combo.

You should have hopped over here from Jak’s blog.  If not, be sure to go back to the start and follow the hop, or you will miss some fantastic eye candy!

Sounds easy doesn’t it?  Yeah.  That’s what I thought, until I actually sat down to choose a favourite image.  I’ve never been good at narrowing down favourites (films, books, music – I always end up with a long list), so this was pretty tough!  In the end I decided to go with one of my many favourites – Perfect Angel – and as I’m loving purples and oranges at the moment, those are the colours I decided to go with.

I decided to make a hanger for my craft room rather than a card, so this will be hanging in my room for the next few weeks!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Perfect Angel - Hanger

I created a simple halo using some wire and stuck it to the back of the image.  The image has been partially cut out, as originally I made a bit of a mess of the background!  Turned out well in the end though…

The dog’s wings have been covered in Shimmerz Spritz – Treasured Hymn available HERE.  I love this colour, and so I spritzed a little onto a saucer and painted it on to the wings.

I absolutely love this image, and some of you may have already guessed why.  For those of you still in the dark, here’s the reason:

Jessie

This is my Mum’s girl, who is now six years old.

Piggy

This is my girl, who is now four years old.  She’s called Taika, but we tend to refer to her as Pig (because she snorts and snuffles like a little piglet).

I grew up with Staffies, and we’ve always had at least one in the house.   So anyway, that clues you in as to why Perfect Angel is a favourite!

That’s all from me, so the next blog for you to visit on the hop is —– Suzanne —– !  Enjoy!
