We’ve got another great challenge for you today over at Quixotic Challenges

This week Judy wants to see….

***One For The Boys!***

Create a project/card/gift for boys/men

If you’re anything like me, you might generally avoid making male cards or at least put them off as long as possible, but then actually have fun with them when you get round to it!

I’ve been looking at this new set – Oliver & Amelia: Happy Day – from The Greeting Farm ever since it landed through my door a few weeks ago.  Today was a perfect excuse to use it, because I just LOVE this image!

The Greeting Farm - Oliver & Amelia Happy Day - available at www.quixoticpaperie.co.uk from 1st March 2010

Isn’t he the cutest?  Just love those little dinosaurs!

The set was sold in small quantities by TGF a few weeks ago, but Monday 1st March sees the official release, and I’m happy to say that I have a box of them already here, waiting for new homes, so as of Monday, you will be grab yours over at Quixotic Paperie along with the other gorgeous new releases from TGF!

I’ve coloured with Copics and used Prismacolor Pencils to shade the background, to make a change from my usual airbrushing.  I’m a little rusty with the Prismacolor pencils, but I do love the soft textured effect they give.

Copic List:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R21 Hair: E50, Y21, Y26, Y28
Clothes: B91, B93, B95, B97, E30, E31, E34, E35, E57, E59
Dinosaurs: G82, G85, G94, BG93, BG96, BG72, BG75 Ground: E57, W00, W1, W2, W3
Background: PC906, PC1024

The papers are Basic Grey “Archaic”.  The diecut dinosaurs are a Quickutz die, and I’ve cut them out of felt.  The sentiment is also from the TGF set and I punched it out using the Stampin’ Up Word Window punch.

That’s it from me!  Do pop on over to the challenge blog and check out the fab creations from the DT.  We’d love to see you join in with us this week!
