It’s another beautiful day here in Dorset.  I’m having a chilled crafty day to help recharge my batteries a little!

What better way to chill out than playing with some of Mo Manning’s fantastic images?  As soon as I saw Mo’s gorgeous new pirate illustrations I fell in love.  I am a sucker for all things piratical.  Blame my Peter Pan obsession as a child…probably.

Here’s the first of two cards.  I’ve used the adorable Captain Hugh and the Pirate Stuff background elements set.  This is the first elements set Mo has done, and I can’t wait for her to do more!  They are perfect for creating gorgeous scenes, especially if you like to play around and merge digital images (my second card will feature some of that!).

Mo's Digital Pencil - Captain Hugh

Colouring has been done with Copics.  Full of surprises, aren’t I?

Papers are Magnolia “So Spooky”.  The waves were created by using a Martha Stewart edger punch on two different colours of Bazzill Bling card which I then layered – I think it’s the Crown punch around the page set.  The silver Starfish in the top corner are Starfish Charms (available HERE) which I cut the loop off and stuck on with silicone glue.

The sentiment is from the brilliant Kraftin’ Kimmie Pirate Sentiments set available HERE.  Perfect for all those pirate images out there at the moment!  I cut it out using one of the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels sets (available HERE) and sponged the edge of the diecut with Distress Ink.  The little bow was tied using the Bow-Easy template (available HERE), because now I have the Bow-Easy I just can’t stop myself putting bows on everything!

That’s all for now!  Thank you so much for dropping by, and to everyone who has left comments recently!  I wish I could find the time to visit you all, the hours/days/weeks are just flying by far too quickly at the moment.

I’ll be back tomorrow with my Quixotic Challenges make!
