You would not believe the swearing coming from my craft room yesterday. Everything that could go wrong with this card, tried to go wrong (imagine my face as I dropped a black inkpad onto the first image I coloured…)! Typical of course, as I need the card for today to give to our niece for her 3rd birthday! Thankfully I managed to pull myself together and sort it out, and so here we have it, another card using one of those gorgeous C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies (available at Quixotic Paperie). Apologies for the quality of the photos, the light here is rather poor, and I’m in a rush!
I’ve followed the fabulous sketch from this week’s Friday Sketchers challenge.
Heidi has been coloured with Copic Markers, and you will find the list at the end of this post. I’ve also accented her wings with Shimmerz Blingz paint in Pixie Dust. So easy to use that it’s hard to resist making things sparkle! We have a great range of Shimmerz in stock at Quixotic Paperie, with lots more on the way!
The flowers are Petaloo Double Delight Daisy Layers – All White, and I’ve airbrushed one of them with Copics to match the gorgeous DCWV Nana’s Nursery papers. The flowers have also been covered in Shimmerz Spritz – Baby’s Breath. Behind the flowers I have added some leaves, punched using the Martha Stewart Frond Branch punch and covered with Shimmerz Blingz – Pixie Dust. The 8mm flat backed pearls are also available at Quixotic Paperie.
The number inside is chipboard, covered with some of the DCWV paper and then coated with Glossy Accents.
